Code of Conduct

Code of Conduct  for event series participants (event attendees, sponsors, advertisers, staff)

1. PURPOSE

The HR Innovator aims to create a community of like-minded people, so anyone can join. No matter who you are, whether you are a woman or a man, no matter what your sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, or religion, our goal is to create an inclusive, friendly, and safe environment for you. 

2. WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU: 

  • Respect each other, be considerate, and collaborate.
  • Do not engage in demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior, materials, or speech.
  • Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow participants. In case of danger or distress, notify us immediately.

 

3. WE DEFINE UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR AS FOLLOWS:

  • The community environment and related activities, whether physical or virtual, should be free of intimidation, harassment, abuse, derogatory, and demeaning behavior. 
  • As far as offensive comments are concerned, we define them as comments discriminating against a particular gender, sexual orientation, race, faith, or disability. 
  • Offensive language: Behaviors or language that are boisterous, lewd, or offensive, including, but not limited to, those that can hurt feelings, provoke anger, resentment, or disgust, or arouse outrage is offensive.
  • Harassment: Any unwanted behavior (physical, verbal, or even implied) that disturbs, humiliates, or mentally distresses a reasonable person is harassment.
  • Wearing provocative clothing, wearing tops or bottoms with offensive text, and dressing inappropriately. 
  • Intoxication with any illegal substance, such as narcotics, marijuana, or other illicit drugs. All events, regardless of format (virtual or in-person), will not tolerate the use of illegal substances. It is only permitted to consume alcohol in the areas designed specifically for drink reception. 
  • Non-compliance with any other rules or regulation

4. CONSEQUENCES OF UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR

There can be no tolerance for unacceptable behavior, whether it comes from other attendees, media, speakers, volunteers, organizers, venue staff, sponsors, or exhibitors. People are expected to comply immediately with requests to stop unacceptable behavior. Participants who engage in unacceptable behavior may be expelled from the conference without warning or refund if the conference organizers deem such behavior appropriate.

5. SEE IT, SAY IT, SHARE IT

In the event that you encounter unacceptable behavior, notice someone else experiencing unacceptable behavior, or have any other concerns, please inform us at your earliest convenience. No information will be divulged to third parties.

Please send us an email with as much details as possible of the case you have witnessed.

6. SCOPE OF THIS CODE OF CONDUCT

It is expected that all virtual, in-person participants will abide by this Code of Conduct , this includes sponsors, attendees, media partners, exhibitors, our staff, volunteers and guests.

7. VIDEO CONSENT POLICY

There is a high likelihood that some of the event series may be recorded, so that participants who cannot attend can view these on demand. Your virtual, in-person or hybrid attendance constitutes your agreement to these terms.
